Today is Hina Matsuri!

During the yearly Hinamatsuri, also known as puppet festival, Japanese pray to the japanese gods for the well growing up of their girls. During that time families will put Hina dolls up on display on a staircase similar platform, but be careful put those away neatly before the night of 4th March. It's super important! Happy Hinamatsuri!

Typical food specialities are ie. the sweet rice crackers called Hina-arare (see above) and Chirashi-Sushi (see below).
